The company Sesto & Sorrentino is one of the oldest companies operating in the commercialisation sector of the citrus fruits, infact, established in 1922, it has been dealing with its own activity non stop up to this very day. At its debute the aboved mentioned company performed its acitvity mainly on the Milan market; where the winter fruit available was constituted exclusively by apples and pears; in fact in such a market the newly born company introduced the splendid Sicilian citrus's, enriched and strengthened by the heat of the Mediterraneam Sun and with the colour of the Sicilian earth, for which they became a great succes; since then there has been a continuous growth of requests and of worked quantities. The products belonging to the company F.lli Sesto & Sorrentino were immediately distinguished with the hallmark "Cavallino". The choice of this hallmark come from the idea of one of the founder members, four in all: Pasquale Giuliano, Salvatore Sesto, Francesco Sorrentino and Filadelfo Sesto; as a matter of fact to the latter a pilot instructor on the "Caproni" areiplanes, we must attribute the choice of the hallmark inspired to the "cavallino rampante" (the aralded horse) that distinguished the plane of an aviation hero of that time: Francesco Baracca. Therefore it was easy to adapt the same Cavallino on the oranges of the new born company. During the Years the F.lli Sesto & Sorrentino has been given several recognition's: The Exhibition of Verona in 1940, The Exhibition of Bologna in 1952 and 53, The Exhibition of Padova in 1973 and the last but not least the Silver Lion (Leone d'Argento) in 1995. Today the activity is conduct directly by the heirs of the founder members; in fact the Head of the Sales Separtment is Dott. Carmelo Giuliano, while Pascal Giuliano, supported by highly qualified personnel, looks after the production companies to obtain a high quality product of the safe origin. For the consultative and legal affairs of the companies there are the capabilities and the diligence of Dott. Sebastiano Sesto, whereas the responsability for the human resources operating at the dependency of the company is entrusted to the experience of Giuseppe Giuliano: : a strong welded group, always at the clientele's service. .
